Best Practices For Creating A Monday - Sunday Or Saturday - Friday Template

Weekly templates are based on a Sunday - Saturday calendar week. If you invoice your recurring weekly clients on a Monday - Sunday or Friday to Saturday basis instead of Sunday - Saturday, it is possible to set this up using two alternating Multi-Week templates following the steps below.

Monday - Sunday Template

1. Create a template for the client with the "Billing Frequency" set to "Multi-Week", "Weeks Per Period" set to "Two Weeks", and the "First Occurrence" set to contain the first Mon-Sun week of your template. (For example, in the screenshot below, we want Mon, Sept 5 - Sun, Sept 11. 2022 to be the first week of services for the client, so we have the "First Occurrence" set to  "Sept 4, 2022 - Sep 17, 2022".)

   

2. After saving the template details, you'll be taken to the "Services" section of the template. Click the "Add Service To Template" button, schedule just the Mon - Sat services (leaving "Sun" unchecked) and select only the "1st" option for "Which Weeks".

   

3. After saving the Mon-Sat services, click the "Add Service To Template" button, and schedule just the Sun service and select only the "2nd" option for "Which Weeks".

   

4. After saving the Sun service, this first template is complete. Next, you'll create a second template for the same client again with the "Billing Frequency" set to "Multi-Week" and "Weeks Per Period" set to "Two Weeks", but for the "First Occurrence" select the week after the start of the first template you created. (For example, the "First Occurrence" of the first template we created was "Sept 4, 2022 - Sep 17, 2022", so for this second template, we're setting the "First Occurrence" to "Sept 11, 2022 - Sept 24, 2022".)

   

   
   

5. After saving the template details, you'll add the services to this template the same way you added them to the previous template, with  the Mon - Sat services set to only the "1st" week and the Sun service set to only the "2nd" week.

   

   

   
   
6. After saving these services, both templates are complete and will now schedule and invoice for services on a recurring Monday - Sunday basis.

Friday - Saturday Template

1. Create a template for the client with the "Billing Frequency" set to "Multi-Week", "Weeks Per Period" set to "Two Weeks", and the "First Occurrence" set to contain the first Friday - Saturday week of your template. (For example, in the screenshot below, we want Fri, Feb 9th - Sat, Feb 17th, 2024 to be the first week of services for the client, so we have the "First Occurrence" set to  "Feb 4, 2024 - Feb 17, 2024".)

   

2. After saving the template details, you'll be taken to the "Services" section of the template. Click the "Add Service To Template" button, schedule only the services on Friday and Saturday (leaving all others unchecked), and select only the "1st" option for "Which Weeks."

   

3. After saving the Friday and Saturday services, click the "Add Service To Template" button, schedule the Sunday to Thursday services, and select only the "2nd" option for "Which Weeks".

   

4. After saving the Sunday to Thursday services, this first template is complete. Next, you'll create a second template for the same client again with the "Billing Frequency" set to "Multi-Week" and "Weeks Per Period" set to "Two Weeks", but for the "First Occurrence" select the week after the start of the first template you created. (For example, the "First Occurrence" of the first template we created was "Feb 4, 2024 - Feb 17, 2024", so for this second template, we're setting the "First Occurrence" to "Feb 11, 2024 - Feb 24, 2024".)

   

5. After saving the template details, you'll add the services to this template the same way you added them to the previous template, with the Friday and Saturday services set to only the "1st" week and the Sunday to Thursday services set to only the "2nd" week.

   

   

6. After saving these services, both templates are complete and will now schedule and invoice for services on a recurring Friday - Saturday basis.
