We are thrilled to announce a new plan from Time To Pet called "Lite" built to help those businesses that are new to pet care and just getting started in their business. We’ve heard lots of feedback from our brand-new pet care business owners that Time To Pet has plenty of features, but they aren’t quite ready to use them all yet!
Time To Pet Lite is a scaled-back version of our Solo plan, meaning it is designed for a one-person business that does not have any additional dog walkers or staff members working with them and is at a lower price point than our other plans. Pet care professionals can utilize Lite while they are starting and growing their business, and when they are ready for a more robust offering, they can upgrade to our Solo or Team plan for the full Time To Pet experience.
Lite Plan Features
The Lite plan is designed for a one-person business that is brand new to their pet care journey and does not have the same requirements of a more established pet care business. Time To Pet Lite includes all of the features to hit the ground running with a new business. This includes invoicing, reporting, scheduling, and client management just to name a few. Feel free to visit this page to see a breakdown of features included on each plan.
Since the Lite plan is a scaled-back version of our core plans (Solo and Team), it does not have support for adding additional staff members and it does not include our integrations (third-party Calendar Integration, Backups, Quickbooks, Texting, Zapier, Mass Emails, or Video support).
Connecting To Time To Pet Payments
To utilize Lite, a pet care business, also has to connect to Time To Pet Payments. Connecting to Time To Pet Payments is quick and simple! We have a helpful article here on the steps to connect: Connecting To Time To Pet Payments Powered By Stripe.
Switching To And Upgrading From The Lite Plan
Upgrading your account is easy! When you are ready, you can upgrade your account to access all of the features and functionality available in our Solo or Team plan. You can upgrade directly in your Billing section or by reaching out to our support team at support@timetopet.com.
During the Time To Pet activation process, you are initially required to select a standard billing cadence—monthly ($50) or annual ($500). This does not result in an immediate charge, as Time To Pet uses post-billing. Selecting the Lite plan is not possible during the activation process. Instead, you must first activate your account and then change to the Lite plan through the Billing section in your account. Your first charge will reflect the Lite plan if the change is completed before the billing cycle begins.
Steps to Switch to the Lite Plan
Access the Billing Section
On a desktop or laptop: Click your profile image in the top-right corner and navigate to Billing.
On mobile or smaller devices: Open the menu via the top-left icon, then select My Account > Billing.
Complete the Prerequisites
Connect your account to Time To Pet Payments.
Make all staff members, except yourself, inactive.
Disable or disconnect the following integrations:
Dropbox backup: Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Backup.
Calendar Integration: Go to Settings > Integrations > Calendar Integration.
QuickBooks: Disconnect via Settings > Integrations > QuickBooks > Advanced.
Texting: Disable through Settings > Integrations > Texting.
Zapier: Disable via Settings > Integrations > Zapier. Note: If texting was previously enabled, you may need to take additional actions to ensure that the connection with the texting provider is fully severed before the Lite plan becomes available.
Troubleshooting If the Lite Plan Option Is Unavailable
If you have completed all prerequisites but still cannot select the Lite plan, follow these troubleshooting steps:
Double-check that all unused integrations are disabled and that changes are correctly saved.
Ensure the Calendar Integration is fully disabled, as it is a common blocker. Visit Settings > Integrations > Calendar Integration, disable it, save the changes, and then revisit the Billing section to confirm if the Lite plan option is now visible.
