Bulk Editing Events

Using the Bulk Edit feature, you can quickly make changes to multiple events in a service order at one time. Let's say one of your clients calls in and tells you that for the next month, they would prefer a 60-minute visit rather than a 30-minute visit for their pet. Rather than having to go into each visit one by one to make this change, we can quickly change all of them at once with the Bulk Edit Tool.

Using the Bulk Edit Tool

  1. Open the calendar service order for the invoice. An easy way to do this is to click on one of the events you want to edit and select the three bars in the upper right-hand corner.

Selected event on the Scheduler with an arrow pointing to the three bar icon to pull up the service order

  2. Click the "Bulk Edit" icon within the service order container.

The next screen will allow you to selectively update certain values for all of these events. Since many of these events can potentially have different values, none of these fields will be pre-populated.

  5. Only fields that are not greyed out and that have a checked box will be updated. For example, in the following screenshot, we are updating the Client Time Display, the Service, and the Duration for the 21 selected events to make them 30-minute visits that have a 30-minute scheduled duration.

Bulk Deleting Services

The Bulk Edit tool will also allow you to delete multiple scheduled services.

Please note deleting events is not reversible. If events are deleted, a record of them can be found in Deleted Event History.

  1. Follow Steps 1 – 3 in the previous section to select the events you would like to delete.
  2. Rather than clicking the “Edit Events” button, click the “Delete Events” button. This button will also indicate how many selected events will be deleted.

  3. A popup will display asking you to confirm this action. Click “Yes, Delete These Events” to finalize the delete.

FAQs

Q: I noticed when using Bulk Edit and changing the time of the event(s), the event durations default to 30 minutes, why?

When using Bulk Edit, it cannot take into account the existing details of the events you are editing, such as durations, as it sometimes looks at multiple events that could be using different durations all on the same invoice. When bulk editing events that are not 30 minutes long, you'll need to edit both the start and end times to achieve the duration you want.
