Updated over 2 weeks ago

When sending messages to clients or staff, creating saved replies, or writing mass emails, you’ll use the message editor. This is the toolbar at the top of the message box — it helps you format your text so your messages are clear, professional, and easy to read.

Here’s a breakdown of each option and how you might use it:

✍️ Basic Formatting

Normal (dropdown menu)
Use this to change the size and style of your text.

  • “Heading 1” is for big, bold titles

  • “Heading 2” is for section headers

  • “Normal” is for regular messages
👉 You’ll usually just leave this set to “Normal.”

B – Bold
Makes your text stand out.
👉 Use it to highlight important info like payment dates or time changes.
Example: Your invoice is due Friday.

I – Italic
Slants your text.
👉 Great for adding a friendly note or side comment.
Example: Let us know if you have questions!

U – Underline
Draws a line under your words.
👉 Use for emphasizing names, times, or key points.
Example: Please leave the key under the mat.

🎨 Colors & Highlighting

A – Text Color
Changes the color of your text.
👉 Use sparingly to call attention to a word or sentence.

🖍 Highlight (marker icon)
Adds a background color behind the text.
👉 Helps important reminders stand out — like a date or cancellation notice.

📋 Lists & Indentation

• Bulleted List
Makes a list with dots.
👉 Perfect for visit instructions or packing lists.
Example:

  • Refill food and water

  • Give meds

  • Scoop litter

1. Numbered List
Makes a numbered list.
👉 Helpful when order matters.
Example:

  1. Unlock door

  2. Walk Max

  3. Send update

📎 Insert Media or Links

🖼 Insert Image
Adds a photo to your message.
👉 Upload a pet photo, screenshot, or anything helpful for your client or team.

🔗 Insert Link
Turns text into a clickable link.
👉 Helpful for sharing your website, a policy page, or a booking form.

🧹 Clear Formatting (𝑓𝑥 icon)

Removes any bold, colors, links, or formatting from selected text.
👉 Use this if something looks “off” after pasting text in — it resets everything back to normal.

📎 Add Attachments

Located below the message box.
👉 Use this to attach files like documents, instructions, or photos.
