Scheduling Events As An Admin In The Mobile App

Scheduling features in the Mobile App are available to both Administrators and Office Managers, who can both manage scheduling as a default permission for their respective roles. For more information, see our help documentation of Staff Roles And Permissions.

IN THIS ARTICLE

You can schedule an event from one of two places in the Time To Pet Mobile App. One is from a client's profile and the other is from the Schedule section of the Mobile App, which displays any events that are assigned directly to you. You can assign any staff member to an event you schedule here, but to view it, you will either need to view the company calendar in the Scheduler section of the web version of Time To Pet or navigate to the Services tab on a client's profile. We will go over what scheduling an event looks like from both locations.

IMPORTANT: Currently, it is only possible to schedule single events in the Mobile App. If you want to make use of the Trip Tool, Repeating Events tool, or create a Template, you must do so from the web version of Time To Pet.

Scheduling An Event From A Client's Profile

To schedule an event from a client's profile, click on the Clients tab, which can be found along the bottom of the Mobile App screen and then select the client you want to schedule services for from the list:

From the client's profile, ensure that you're on the Details tab, and then tap the Schedule button at the top of the screen:

This will open up the Schedule Event window. Here, you can choose whether you would like to add the event to a new or an existing invoice, select the pets the service is for, determine the event's service and its duration, choose the date and time it should take place, assign a staff member, and add any necessary event notes:

Note: If your company has extra pet fees, holiday fees, or after hours fees enabled for a service, they will automatically be applied and will be visible on the client's invoice.

Once you're ready, tap the Schedule Event button at the bottom of the screen to finalize the event and add to the calendar. You will get a notice when the event has been successfully processed. Click OK to exit the window:

Scheduling An Event From The "Schedule" Tab

To schedule an event from the Schedule section of the Mobile App, you must first navigate there, which you can do by selecting the Schedule tab at the bottom of the screen, opening up your app, or selecting Home from the lefthand sidebar that can be opened using the three bars in upper left corner of the screen. Once there, click the plus symbol at the top of the screen to the left of the bell icon:

From here, the Schedule Event will open, and you can choose whether you would like to add the event to a new or an existing invoice, select the pets the service is for, determine the event's service and its duration, choose the date and time it should take place, assign a staff member, and add any necessary event notes:

Editing Scheduled Events

You can edit a scheduled event one of two ways in the Mobile App. If it's an event you're assigned to, you can locate it in the Schedule section of your app and then click Edit in the upper righthand section corner of the event window:

The other way you can edit an event by navigating to a client's profile, and selecting the Services tab to be taken to the Upcoming Services section of their account. Here, you can click the pencil icon:

The Edit Event window will open, and you can adjust any element of the event that you can when creating it, such as the pets included, the staff member assigned, and the date, date, and duration of the visits. You can also cancel or delete the event selected event by tapping the More button in the bottom right corner of the screen:

Once you're done making your event adjustments, click Update Event at the bottom of the screen. When it's done processing, a popup will appear confirming the update's success. Click OK to exit the window.


FAQs

Q: Can I redeem a service toward a Package?

Unfortunately, services cannot be applied against a client's package at this time from the Mobile App.

Q: Can I charge a cancellation fee from the Mobile App?

Currently, if you cancel an event in the Mobile App, you cannot charge for the cancellation. If you need to charge a fee for an event, you will need to do so from the web version of Time To Pet.
