Editing Payments & Viewing Payment History
From the Edit Payment screen, you can change the date the payment was made, the amount of the payment, the amounts applied to invoices, delete the payment, refund the payment, and access the payment's history to see the time-stamped movements of the payment. There are three ways to get to the Edit Payment screen, which we will cover below.

From The Balance Sheet
The first way to get to the Edit Payment screen is through the client's Balance Sheet. You can access the client's Balance Sheet by clicking "view" next to the Balance just underneath the client's name in the client profile:
Once in the Balance Sheet, you may need to change the Status filter to show "All Items" to find the payment you want. You can also hide invoices from the list by changing the Type filter to "Payments":
In the Balance Sheet, you'll see a list of all historical invoices and payments, and you'll see at a glance if a payment has had a refund issued against it and for how much. To access the Edit Payment screen, click the "Edit" button next to the payment:
From An Invoice
At the bottom of the Edit Invoice screen, there is a section listing any payments currently applied to that invoice. You can access the Edit Payment screen by clicking "Edit" next to the date of the payment:
From The Client's Charge Screen
Clicking the "Card On File" tag in the client's profile or clicking to "Charge Client" from the Quick Actions menu will bring you to the client's Charge screen:
From there, you can visit the "Payment History" tab to see a history of all payments on the account. To access the Edit Payment screen, click on the amount of the payment:
The Edit Payment Screen
Once you've reached the edit payment screen, you can edit various details related to the payment, delete the payment, or issue a refund. To view the payment's history, click the "History" button just below the "Internal Note" textbox:
From there, you can see the entire history of the payment, including who made the payment, when the payment was made, how the payment was made, which invoice(s) it was originally applied to, and any movements the payment has made since then.
