Exporting Client Data & Mapping Locations

It is possible to export all of your client data into a spreadsheet. This comes in handy to have a local file of your client information or to use that data to import it elsewhere. In certain situations, it may be helpful to use the data to have a map of all your clients' locations.

Exporting Client Data

You can export your client data by going to your Main Client List in the dashboard. Located at the very bottom of the page, you should see a button labeled "Export Client Data".

Client data can also be exported from Reporting > Users/Staff & Clients > Clients tab. Using Client Reporting to export client data allows you to generate a list of clients based on pre-defined filters instead of exporting all of your active clients. (For more information on using Client Reporting, see our help article on Client Reporting).

Selecting the "Export Clients" button in either of these places will open a screen where you can select the fields you want to export and whether or not you want to include inactive clients in your export. For the purpose of mapping locations, you may want to deselect most of the fields and leave only those needed for mapping selected, such as the client's name and address:

Once you have the fields you want, you can select the "Export Data" button on the bottom right of the screen. This will download the data as a .csv file to your computer.

Mapping Client Locations

With an exported file of your client's data, you are able to upload it to a map and have the addresses marked on a map. When exporting the client data, it's recommended to have the Full NameAddressCityStateand Zip Code selected when exporting.

Note: For the next step, it's required to have a Google account to utilize their map feature. If you do not have a Google account, you can create one, or you can use another free service: https://batchgeo.com/

After downloading the client data, go to google.com/mymaps and select the "Create A New Map" button.

Mailing Labels

Time To Pet doesn't offer a feature that creates mailing labels for you, but you can export your client addresses using the above steps from Time To Pet and then generate mailing labels using your preferred software.
